Bedroom Christmas Decor

I started decorating for Christmas WAY earlier than normal.  I have never started before Thanksgiving but this year I decided I didn’t care and I wanted to go crazy!  I actually started with our bedroom!  I have also never decorated our bedroom for Christmas but it just made sense.  I always add trees to the kids room, why not ours?!?!?  You see, when I would always wait until after Thanksgiving I just didn’t have enough time to decorate anything else.  I am loving our current sleeping and lounging situation and I hope you do too!

I was also feeling pretty proud of myself because a lot of this decor wasn’t super expensive and it adds just the right touch!  You can shop all of it HERE.  Have you started Decking the Halls?!?!?!

Lissa

Family Christmas Traditions

I LOVE traditions, especially when they come to the holidays!  Ever since we had kids, Dusko & I try to continue on with some of the traditions we had and of course some new ones!  But one of my very favorite traditions has and always will be Matching Pajamas!  You guys, we both worked for Old Navy for 10+ years.  You better believe we were wearing Christmas Jammies before it was actually cool!  Even my immediate family has been wearing matching Christmas PJ’s for approximately a decade.  Theres something super sweet about knowing you are going to get comfy, festive pajamas to wear for Christmas Eve!

Maxwell is pretty on board with this tradition, Emme would really rather be wearing Princess anything and clearly didn’t want to be in these pictures!!!

Shop Max & Emme’s PJ’s plus some of the decor HERE.

I think in the coming years, Jimmy(our elf) will likely be bringing the kids their matching Christmas Jammies!  Who knows, but if you don’t already here’s to hoping you start this fun tradition with your sweet families!

XOXO,

Lissa, Max, & Emme

One Chaotic Mess

I make my bed everyday, do you?  Ok, there have been a few days in my adult life I haven’t and before I was married I definitely didn’t always.  As I sit here on the eve of Thanksgiving, I want to share with you why I now make my bed Every.  Single.  Day.  I know some of you moms are thinking, SHE is cRaZy.  I, however, feel less crazy when I make my bed.

I figure if something that takes me approximately 90 seconds can make me have a better day, than lets do it!  For example:  today, I didn’t make my bed first thing(this is a rarity).  Naturally, Everything that could be chaotic with 2 kids under 2 happened.  From Maxwell knocking his sister over on multiple occasions to straight screaming just because Emerson was “looking” at Mickey Mouse.  LOL, this is true.  She was watching the TV with him and today he couldn’t take it.  So I put Emme down for her morning nap and told Max we were going to make Mommy and Daddy’s bed.  I immediately felt better.  Even though I have a rolling to do list to prepare before tomorrows Thanksgiving feast of 20 people at OUR house.  I felt better that our bed was MADE!

Maybe it’s because that is where you start and end your day?  Your sanctuary?  Idk, either way, if you aren’t a bed maker, you should really take it for a test run!

Happy THANKSGIVING Y’all😘

XOXO,

Lissa

Favorite Soaps

Certain things in life are meant to be luxuries.  Some things are more worth the money than others, such as handbags but we will save that for a later topic!  I have always said I will pay way more for something I will use everyday whether consumable or not because my ROI is much larger.  Like my favorite hand soap for example:  Caldrea, check it out here: http://www.caldrea.com/mandarin-vetiver-glass-hand-soap/ it is normally $18.50 but just so happens to be on SALE!!!  It comes in a beautiful glass bottle with that pop of color I was looking for!  Our house is all grey and white so pops every now and then are key!  Not to mention, having a baby in the house, my husband and I wash our hands like 87 times more than the average adult!  #germs
